Matchmaking for WASP HS themes and the research clusters - lunch meeting 7 November
The Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program – Humanity and Society (WASP-HS) is now launching an initiative for research clusters with the aim of increasing understanding of the consequences and opportunities that AI and autonomous systems bring to people and society. The total funding for each cluster is expected to be between SEK 25 and 40 million.
For more information about this initiative, please visit the WASP-HS website.
As a complement and/or support to research constellations at Lund University considering an application for WASP-HS clusters, AI Lund organises an online lunch meeting where we put together a speed matchmaking on project ideas. Anyone can provide suggestions in the signup form.
When: 7 November 12.00 to 13.15
Where: Online at zoom - link by registration
Moderator: Anamaria Dutceac Segesten, Dean of Research, Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology, Researcher, Department of Strategic Communication

WASP-HS wants to get input from researchers to shape this initiative and define themes for the research clusters. Both researchers already active in WASP-HS and other researchers with strong research backgrounds in the social sciences and humanities are now invited to take part in the discussion and to find common interests and partners. With these research clusters, WASP-HS wants to create structures for long-term research collaborations, invite other researchers to become part of the WASP-HS research network, and promote the exchange of knowledge between researchers who have common research goals. Funding of the research clusters will begin in 2025 and run for five years. The total funding for each cluster is expected to be between SEK 25 and 40 million.
It is now possible to submit a letter of intent to help form a research cluster and also to propose a theme for these research clusters. The deadline for both submitting letters of intent and proposing themes for research clusters is 15 November.
