Title: AI as a Technological Revolution – what we can learn from history

Speaker: Kerstin Enflo, Department of Economic History, Lund University

When: 30 March at 12.00-13.15

Where: Online

Spoken language: English

Abstract

New technological paradigms transform almost every aspect of society. New technologies also cause tension that can lead to lags in technology adoption and a delay in realisation with likely winners and losers in this new situation. During the seminar Kerstin Enflo put the introduction of AI technologies in an historical context and discuss what kind of institutions that can hinder or pave the way for technology transitions.
