This course in the form of a study circle is aimed at those who want to understand AI and new machine learning technology in a larger societal and cultural perspective. We raise our gaze and look at AI beyond the purely technical and immerse ourselves in questions that can give a greater understanding of the importance of technology in our society/in our everyday life.
In this one-day course, we provide an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You get to learn more about what it is, try doing some machine learning of your own and hear more about its possibilities but also legal and ethical challenges.
The course is and In-depth AI training at advanced level for civil engineers with the aim of providing in-depth knowledge for applications of AI solutions. The training provides an insight into selected sub-areas within AI - from problem formulation to data analysis, management and maintenance.
The objective of the students of the course is to be able to understand and explain basic GeoAI concepts and to understand and explain how GeoAI applications, building on GIS and remote sensing (RS) technologies, can be used for urban planning.
